
G-Land, a hidden paradise for surfers around the world, is located in Banyuwangi, East Java. It is renowned for its great and consistent waves that come almost any single time. However, G Land is not suitable for beginners or longboarders due to the height of its waves. For intermediate and professional surfers who have never been surfing in G-Land before, here are the types of waves in G-Land.
1. Kong Waves
It is considered as the friendliest waves in G Land according to professional surfers. The height of Kong Waves can reach up to 3 feet. Except the swell is considerably large, this wave rarely reaches 3 feet. Kong Waves’ length breaks up to some hundred meters and tends to be a series of takeoff zones with barrels that occur sometimes.
2. 20/20’'s
This is a kind of changeable waves in which the height is not the same every single day. If you encounter this wave in G-Land today, it may be a fast and short wave. Yet, tomorrow it may change into the high one which can reach up to 2.7 meters.
3. Tigertracks
Other the two aforementioned types of waves, there is a wave named tigertracks in G-Land. This wave is a consistent reef break in which its peak goes on both sides, left and right. Tigertracks can reach between 1 to 2.5 meters. Similar to the previous one, its height is changeable every single day.
